A House Is Not A Home

Mar 8, 2026    Bro. Earl Goode

In this message from Ephesians 5, the focus turns to one of the most important places where Christian faith is lived out every day—the home. While the first part of Ephesians explains the rich theology of who believers are in Christ, this passage shows how those truths shape real relationships between husbands and wives.

The sermon reminds us that there are no perfect homes because there are no perfect people, yet God has given clear guidance for building a healthy, Christ-centered marriage. At the heart of the passage is a powerful principle: mutual submission rooted in reverence for God. Instead of domination or control, biblical marriage is built on love, respect, sacrifice, and obedience to God’s design.
