Brother Goode

Doctor, R. Earl Goode, DD

Pastor

Earl and Larinda Goode have three children and nine grandchildren. They live on Smith Lake in northern Alabama.

Rev. Goode was the youngest of four children born to Rev. M. M. and Frances Lou Goode. His father planted churches in Alabama's coal mining communities. Earl learned the value of prayer and simple gospel preaching through his father's ministry.

After college, Rev. Earl was appointed as a missionary in the Caribbean Islands, where he served as senior pastor of two churches. He has served congregations in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and the Caribbean.

The Bible says, “David served God’s purpose in his own generation." (Acts 13:36)  Rev. Goode has often said, “I can think of no better epitaph. I hope people will say that about me. He served God’s purpose in his generation.”
