Earl and Larinda Goode share three children and nine grandchildren. They make their home on Smith Lake in north Alabama.
Rev. Goode was the youngest of 4 children born to Rev. M. M. and Frances Lou Goode. His father was a church planter in the coal mining communities of Alabama. Under his dad’s ministry, Earl learned the power of prayer

Rev. Goode was the youngest of 4 children born to Rev. M. M. and Frances Lou Goode. His father was a church planter in the coal mining communities of Alabama. Under his dad’s ministry, Earl learned the power of prayer and simple gospel preaching.
After college, Rev. Earl was appointed to serve as missionary in Caribbean Islands were he served two churches as senior pastor. He has served churches in Alabama, Georgia, Florida and the Caribbean.
The Bible says, “David served God’s purpose in his own generation. Acts 13:36.” Rev. Goode has often said, “I can think of no better epitaph. I hope people will say that of me. He served God’s purpose in his generation.”
