September brings the excitement of a new school year. As students, teachers, school staff, and families return to the classroom, we encourage our community to keep them in prayer. May God protect them, guide them, and help them reflect His love and truth in their daily lives.
Earlier this month, Calvary Baptist Church celebrated Sunday School Promotion Day, providing an opportunity for children, teens, and adults to connect with age-appropriate Bible study classes and continue growing in their understanding of God's Word.
September also gives us an opportunity to remember the events of September 11, 2001. We honor the lives that were lost, support the families who continue to feel that loss, and express gratitude for the courageous first responders who risked their lives to help others during a time of great need.
As we reflect on these events, we continue to pray for our nation, its leaders, members of the military, first responders, and all those who serve and protect our communities. We ask God to provide wisdom, strength, and guidance for those entrusted with these responsibilities.
We are also excited to celebrate several baptisms this month. Every baptism is a beautiful picture of the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ and a testimony that another life has been changed by His saving grace. These special services are always a source of joy and encouragement for our church family and guests alike.
We are grateful for all that God is doing through the ministry of Calvary Baptist Church. As we look ahead, we remain committed to serving our community, sharing the hope of the gospel, and giving God the glory for His many blessings.
